Funke Akindele Drops ex-huband's name "Bello"

The Kano-born record producer confirmed that Funke had asked him to leave her house and refused to speak with him.

Deputy governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Lagos State, Funke Akindele has dropped the name of her former husband, Abdulrasheed Bello, who is professionally popular as JJC Skillz.

Recall that the superstar actress and the Nigerian rapper/producer recently ended their 6 years marriage, after JJC Skillz announced on his Instagram page that he and his wife had separated.

The Kano-born record producer confirmed that Funke had asked him to leave her house and refused to speak with him.

Until their marriage crashed, Funke was identified as Funke Akindele-Bello.

But, in a 3-minutes-15-seconds campaign video, she posted on her Instagram handle on Tuesday, following her unveiling as running mate to the governorship candidate of the PDP, Olajide Adediran, the producer of the Jenifa’s Series simply identified as Olufunke Akindele.

JJC Skillz earned recognition in Nigeria after the release of his single We Are Africans, an afrobeat anthem.

Meanwhile, Nigerians have been reacting to the nomination of Nollywood actress Funke Akindele as running mate for the Lagos State Governorship candidate of Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olajide Adediran.

Recall that Adediran, popularly called Jandor, officially unveiled Akindele, as running mate for the coming 2023 election on Tuesday.

The unveiling of the actress’s nomination has sparked mixed reactions on social media, particularly on Twitter, with some of the fans describing the nomination of Akindele as an indication of the death of PDP in Lagos State.

While many believed Akindele wanted to be used to gather votes, some other Nigerians have challenged her eligibility, her behaviour and political antecedents.

A 12year Old was defiled by an aspirant Opoke Kelechi

The Human Rights Defenders (HURIDE) Has This To Say the 12year old girl (name withheld) and her mother are tenants in  the house owned by Barr Kelechi's mother. The house is located around Haraca junction, Abakaliki Ebonyi State.

That Barr Opoke is said to be living in Abuja but frequents Abakaliki. In all his comebacks to Abakaliki,  he normally stays in his mother's compound around the Haraca junction where the victim and her mother also lives.

In the afternoon of the fateful date(Wednesday, 6th July 2022), the little girl had returned from school when Barr Opoke gave her a phone to help him charge in the girl's apartment. Both Kelechi and the little girl are from Izzi land of Ebonyi State .

That that shortly after that, Barr Kelechi went knocking on her door in the guise that he had come to collect his phone. So, as the unsuspecting girl opened door to see who was knocking, Barr Kelechi dashed into the room, swooped down on the girl, tore her wears and devoured her sexually in a most inhumane manner.

That Barr Kelechi Opoke , after the alleged sexual assault on the child dropped for her, a bottle of RC coke and a note of #1,000. He also promised to buy her a phone and to give her a cash of #5,000 if she did not tell her mother. He was said to have threatened to kill her if she dares tell her mother of what happened,Soaked in her blood on their bed, the little girl, amidst fear and shame refused to come outside until her mother came back from market and met her crying on their bed, conspicuously soaked in blood. Her mother inquired to know what had happened and the child opened up and narrated how it all happened between her and Barr Kelechi Opoke . The mother wept bitterly and reached out for help.

That in the evening of the said date, some security operatives came to arrest the lawyer but on sighting them, he raced like a rabbit but was given a very hot chase by the gallant security men and the was successfully apprehended and bundled into the trunk of a security van.

That the embattled randy lawyer tried futily to put up some defence but ended up contradicting and indicting himself the more. The lawyer is still in custody and will be arraigned as soon as all investigation avenues are satisfactorily exhausted.

That series of medical screenings have been conducted on both the little girl and the randy lawyer. However, some test results are out while some are being awaited. All the available results are in agreement with the child's teary account. That HURIDE condemns in strong terms the wanton violation of such a minor by a know legal pundit of Barr Opoke's standing.

Therefore, HURIDE, GBV Team, NHRC, HRCRC and other partnering CSOs in Ebonyi State and beyond are strongly interested in the matter will ensure it is followed to its logical and transparent conclusion. Special thanks to Barr Faithvin Nwanchor and Barr Nneka Akam. All we want is unsullied  justice with no trace of compromise. Anyone or group that contemplates compromise or aims at lobbying for same, does that at own risk as we will expose such ugly moves and unmask the faces behind it.

If I don't succeed Buhari Nigeria will break - Pst Chris Okotie

"If I don’t succeed Buhari, It will bring disaster, catastrophe, calamity and tragedy.

You can see where we are headed; the indicators are very clear that if we do not do something now while we have the time, this nation will break into fragments.

It could even lead to war because there is so much anger, there is so much resentment.

The politicians have divided us into ethnicity and religion. That is why we must do something at this point in time.

Only a credible leader like me  can have the kind of support from Nigerian people for this kind of project because they themselves know what is going on.

Things are so bad. I have been a pastor for about 35 years, and I work with people and I know the pain, their anguish, the resentment that is growing in the polity; we must do something to assuage the situation.

Those who know Chris Okotie know that I only stand on the truth. I believe that as I begin to expatiate and elucidate this concept, our people will listen because they know that is the only way forward. If not we are back to square one.

We don’t need a regime change; we need a system change.

Nigeria must change its system of operation. That is the only way we can have peace, unity and prosperity".
