Kenyan woman arrested for drunk driving detained after falling asleep and snoring loudly during court session😲😅🙆🏾‍♀️

A Nairobi Traffic Court has detained a drunk woman for falling asleep during court proceedings. 

 

Sharon Oparanya had been arraigned before Magistrate Martha Nanzushi on Thursday morning, September 22, to answer to charge of driving under the influence. 

 

However, she slept off on the bench and started snoring loudly which made the Magistrate to inquire from the orderlies the person who was snoring in court. 

"Wait wait! Why is she snoring in court, is that someone sleeping in my court? "the magistrate posed.

In reply, a court orderly said that Oparanya was drunk and that's why she was sleeping in court.

"Your honour, she is drunk and that's why she is sleeping in court," the officer said.

Following the distraction, the magistrate ordered Oparanya to be detained at Lang'ata Women's Prison until Friday when she will answer to the charges.

According to the charge sheet filed in court by the DPP, Oparanya is accused that on September 22, 2022 at 7:35 am along Ngong Road "being the driver of a Mercedes-Benz did drive on a public road under the influence of alcohol to such an extent as to be incapable of having proper control of the said motor vehicle."

She died yesterday while allegedly chasing her husband in her Highlander Jeep after she saw her husband with another woman in her husband's car.

She wanted to catch her husband with his side chick red-handed as she saw her husband coming out from SPAR and attempted to block him with her own car, her husband quickly maneuvered his way out from there and the wife engaged him in a very serious pursuit with her own car, but in a bid to outrun her speeding husband she lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road.

She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

Her husband was said to be weeping and asking her dead body to forgive him and asking her to come back and raise the 3 kids with him.

Side chick hot chase ends in ghastly motor accident

 Lady has been involved in an auto crash in Calabar while chasing her husband who she saw with another woman. 

According to an eye witnesses, Stephen Okposin, the accident happened earlier today at the Murtarla Mohammed Highway.

"The lady saw her hubby at Spar shop with another woman in the car, so she hurrily drove to double cross them. This man saw her car and zoomed off, so the woman became aggressive and sped up.

"I was just driving behind them just in less than 3 minutes I saw her involved in the accident and she's unconscious at point of death. The hubby that was running suddenly dropped off the lady who was with him and rushed down to to assist revive her from the car. She's been rushed to the hospital.  Ike Ekweremadu’s Daughter Begs For Kidney Donor

Sonia, the daughter of former Deputy Senate President, Ike Ekweremadu, has begged members of the public to donate kidney to her.

The young woman, whose parents are currently facing charges of organ harvesting in the United Kingdom, took to her Instagram page on Monday to make the plea.

She said, “I, Sonia Ekweremadu, hereby appeal to the general public to come to my aid and save my life.

“I dropped out of my postgraduate studies at the University of Newcastle in 2019 when I was diagnosed with a rare kidney disease, FSGS Nephrotic Syndome. My family has battled to save my life and has taken me to various hospital but the illness persisted and kept degenerating. I’m alive today by the special grace of God. I am presently in London, UK, receiving five hours of dialysis 3-4 times a week. This is at the expense of my family as I am not qualified for NHS due to m immigration status.

“The charges being faced by my parents in London presently are directly connected to my illness and have complicated matters for me and my family.

“In the circumstance above. I am appealing to anybody whom it may please to asset e willingly with a kidney donation in the name of God.”
