UGM attacks a Young Man 2days to his traditional marriage

A young man identified as Izuchukwu Charles Igweka, has been killed by unknown gunmen two days to his traditional wedding in Anambra State.

It was gathered that the incident happened in Ukpor Town, Nnewi South Local Government Area of the state around 10 pm on Wednesday night, January 5, 2023.

Late Izuchukwu was set to tie the knot traditionally with his partner, Chinenye Linda Chukwuchekwa on January 7, in Ezekwuabo-Otolo Nnewi.

His friend, Obi Chibuike Charles said that they were together when the gunmen attacked them.

"It's very hard to type goodbye bro but God knows the best, Nigeria has happened to you and Nigeria has failed you bro," Obi wrote.

"Full of life yesterday, today you're been laid to mother earth. my bro I just wish you can wake and tell me it's all a prank because we have many things to achieve together, Ichie I'm sorry that yesterday when unknown gunmen attacked us I couldn't do anything.

"We have survived many things together and they choose to take you away from me, your traditional marriage is coming up next tomorrow which is 7th and we have planned on how to shut down as usual but they came yesterday and took your life forcefully. What more can I say to a brother and friend like you at this point if not farewell. Turnfire I'll choose you over and over and over again because you're too good to be a human.Rest well my brother till we meet to part no more. I love you bro forever,"

She is still yet to be found

BUT HERE IS THE WHOLE STORY....

Last night, her family told me the whole story... They had contacted me to seek for technical advice with regards to tracking devices.

The soldier's full name is Phebe Pleasant Johnson - Lt PP Johnson. She is from Isiukwuato Abia State but kidnapped in her maternal village, Ihube Okigwe, Imo State.

Her family even hid the fact that she joined the military. This is because in the South East, members of ESN and UGM declared that Igbos should no longer join the Nigerian Army. So the family didn't even tell extended family members but somehow her maternal aunt who owns a Beer parlour in Ihube, Okigwe got to know about it.

Some unknown gun Men allegedly drink at that Aunt's beer parlour. The name of the aunt is Chinwendu. I believe that based on excitement that her niece is now a 2-star Lt in the Army, words slipped from Chinwendu's lips about PP Johnson's military Achievement without considering the fact that most of her clients could be members of the Unknown Gun Men.

PP Johnson loved his maternal grandmother so much so when she came back to the East for Christmas, she went to visit her grandmother. She didn't even visit the grandmother in her military uniform but the unknown gun Men who heard that she joined the military were waiting for her arrival.

The same night she arrived, the unknown gunmen visited her grandmother's house with Bikes, beat up her grandmother and took PP JOHNSON away. Chinwendu, the beer parlour Aunt, got on another bike (Okada) and followed the unknown gunmen in an effort to rescue her niece but Chinwendu too went Missing.

So the family is not only searching for PP Johnson, they are also searching for Chinwendu who owns the Beer parlour in Ihube Okigwe.

The fake news that PP Johnson has been rescued was spread by the group which kidnapped her in order to divert attention. PP Johnson has not been rescued and just last night, I was chatting with the family about this issue.

The Nigerian Army should invest more in intelligence.

Going to Ihube, Okigwe to burn down the city won't produce PP JOHNSON. They need intelligence to solve the puzzle and bring the evil kidnappers to justice.

The family is worried that she might have been killed and that's my worry too.

The military and police should deploy more Intelligence and forces to find PP Johnson and her destroyers.

We can't let PP Johnson to be forgotten. Those spreading the fake news of her release want her to be forgotten as soon as possible. Their intention is cover up this evil against an Igbo daughter by her Igbo brothers. But we won't fall for their manipulation.

PP Johnson's cell phone was switched off on 31st December and nobody knows if she's still alive especially bearing in mind that her abductors threatened to behead her in the video they shared using her WhatsApp.

ICPC detains D’banj over alleged fraud

The Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) has arrested Oladapo Oyebanji aka D’banj.

The musician was arrested and detained on Tuesday 06/12/2022 after ICPC operatives closed in on him and forced him to surrender himself at the agency’s headquarters in Abuja.

D’banj was said to have been making excuses while being summons for weeks, claiming to be overseas for scheduled concerts each time he was invited to appear for interrogation over fraud allegation.

The singer is accused of fraudulently diverting monies earmarked by the Federal Government for N-Power project, an empowerment programme set up in 2016 to address youth unemployment and increase social development.

Investigators allege that D’banj colluded with some compromised government officials to introduce ghost beneficiaries into the payroll of the scheme. The stipend paid to those beneficiaries are then paid to accounts that have now allegedly been linked to the pop star.

After the musician failed to show up for interrogation despite multiple invitations, the ICPC were forced to arrest him, causing him to show up at the commission’s office on Tuesday.
