The senator representing Kaduna central senatorial district and All Progressive Congress governorship aspirants in the state Uba Sani,and asked the Federal Government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities to return to the negotiation table for resolution of the more than 80days old strike.
According to the law maker,"The more public Universities remain,closed the more the future of the youths,Children and country is mortgaged"
Sani who stated this while commended the doggedness of the Nigeria workers to mark the "workers day" on Sunday in Kaduna, appealed to the Federal Government to go back to the negotiation table with the university lecturers in other to stop the lingering strike that has kept students at home for months, the lingering of this strike will only worsen the nation's economy, he stated.
