Nigerians Are Undoing Nigeria

It is another season and we are very much ready to produce another batch of looters that will “legitimately” loot from a declining economy and a laboriously indebted Nation. I hope that my candidate “out-loots” yours this season. 

The trend of Nigeria’s treasury chief’s arrest over 80bn (billion) naira fraud will be obliterated in a few days as usual. Nobody has ever touched the surface of monumental government stealing and we’re arguing who stole less,more or justifying that everyone steals.

 In this part of the world, trust funds do not hold and manage assets rather funds are stolen in millions.

Think of Petroleum Trust Fund, Educational Trust Fund, Tertiary Education Trust Fund, Ecological Trust Fund, Industrial Trust Fund…I mean, If the name ends with F, funds are stolen. 

How can we keep complaining when we are the architects of own problem? Abacha’s loots are continuously recovered in millions of dollars yet there’s no improvement in the economy. The bottom line is, we are GREEDY.
